For rogues, an ideal build is Ranger/Marksman/Saboteur, with the majority of your points going towards the Ranger. One of the things i did that helped me out with rift starting out was researching the ones i might wanted to play. Pets are fine for leveling which is the way it should be. No I don't want my mage needing to have a pet out to do good dps. I have all classes.

In an emergency, Necromancers can also serve as secondary healers by sacrificing their own health to their allies. Companions can be summoned from the Companion tab in the character sheet. Each Calling has a unique selection of Souls that can be embraced by the player, providing nearly endless opportunity to discover the path that's right for them! Some of the pets you get can tank,caster damage or just dps.

At the beginning of the RIFT campaign, the player will choose a Calling - the basic class system of RIFT. Just starting out and having a pet is not a bad mix. You can find them in the Pets category, under Combat Pet Skins. EG, my cleric doesn't seem like the best heals anymore and my mage doesn't seem like the the best dps, etc. I know the Necromancer gets three types of pets however I was wondering what they were and what their strengths were? What the tier list looks at is the ease of play, survivability, how high of tier it can go before it hits the wall, and how far into Greater Rifts you can survive.o. Skills decrease Threat IF Necrosis is active. LOL you can micromanage your pet if you want to but pet classes are usually for noobs so w/e.
