Paladin's Quest is a traditional turn-based Japanese RPG from Copya System, originally released in Japan with the title Lennus: Kodai Kikai no Kioku ("Lennus: Memories of the Ancient Machine"). Unlike the former two, I find Paladin’s Quest to be quite tolerable in difficulty, if unintuitive. Paladin's Quest may not have been as popular as some of it's contemporaries on the SNES, but it is still a great game that is a lot of fun. Overall, Paladin's Quest would be quite the average role playing game if it featured graphics of any decent quality. Durning the game, you only have two characters that stay with you, learn new magic, or can buy and use armor and weapons. The quest to stop Dal Gren follows the formula laid by many of Paladin’s Quest‘s 16-bit JRPG contemporaries: Travel from town to town solving problems, working your way through vast dungeons along the way.

While the game's overall story is acceptable for this genre, its curious Magic/Hit Points method is frustrating and too easy to exhaust, causing you to frequently start over from your last saved game.
