Every night over a ten year survey, LSST will observe much of the night sky, so that every portion of the sky will be imaged nearly a thousand times. This document describes the data products and processing services to be delivered by the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). The Large-Sized Telescope (LST) project team consists of more than 100 scientists from ten countries: Brazil, Croatia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Poland, Spain and Sweden. These are designed to develop and validate data reduction and analysis and to study the impact of systematic effects that will affect the LSST dataset. Although science studies won’t be ComCam’s primary purpose, the team expects the camera to produce images of very good quality, Reil says: “It’ll be exciting to see these early images taken with our brand new, world-class telescope.”
